About ZapQR

ZapQR (zapqr.net) is an independent QR code studio founded in 2025 and based in the United States. We make two things: AI QR code art that still scans, and free classic QR codes you can create in your browser without an account.

ZapQR is not affiliated with other apps, extensions or websites that use the name “ZapQR”.

What we make

  • AI QR code artTurn a link into a picture that still works as a QR code. It needs a verified account, and new accounts get 6 free AI images once.
  • Free QR code generatorClassic QR codes for links, text, WiFi, contacts, events and more. No sign-up, and nothing you type is uploaded.
  • Batch QR codesPaste a list or upload a CSV, Excel or TXT file and download many static QR codes at once.
  • Dynamic QR codesShort links you can point somewhere else after printing, with basic scan counts. Free beta for signed-in users.

How we check that codes scan

  1. Before any paid AI generation, we decode the control image to make sure your link is readable.

  2. When the art is ready, we check it automatically again. Automatic checks are not a guarantee, so we ask you to scan it with your own phone before you print.

  3. Every example in our gallery is a real ZapQR code that we scanned with a phone, shown with the prompt and settings used to make it.

What we store, and what we don’t

  • Classic QR codes are created in your browser. Their content, and any logo you add, never leaves your device.
  • For AI art, your link (drawn into a control image) and your prompt are sent to our AI image provider. The finished image is stored privately in your account.
  • For Dynamic QR codes we store the destination and basic scan counts. We never store raw IP addresses.
  • We do not sell QR content or personal data.

How we work

  1. Honest claims

    Most AI QR codes scan, but not every one. We tell you that up front and give you the tools to check.

  2. Free where it can be

    Classic and batch QR codes are free with no account. Only AI images, which cost us money to make, use credits.

  3. Private by default

    We keep as little data as the product needs, and keep what we store private to your account.
